DALE CLAUSSEN, PGA Director of Instruction, South Hampton Dale started in the golf business 14 years ago in South Florida.   He immediately realized his passion for teaching the game he loves.   Over the years, he has proven a great coach, mentor, and has a unique approach to the game that his students of all ages enjoy. Mr. Claussen has studied under some of the games greatest coaches. While in Boca Raton, Florida, he apprenticed for Mike Hebron, at Boca West Country Club and Peter Kostis, at Broken Sound Golf Club. Both, Mr. Hebron and Mr. Kostis are currently 2 of the Top 100 Teachers in the Country.   Dale then went on to work at the Dave Pelz Scoring School at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. While at "Pelz" he worked with Loren Roberts, Mike Donald, Mark O'Meara, Phil Mickelson and Lee Jansen.   After a 4-day session, Lee flew to San Francisco and won his 2 nd U.S. Open. Mr. Claussen has also taught at Oahu Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii and at the TPC at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Over the years, he has spent time with quite a few celebrities, his list of celebrity students include, Steven Spielberg, Sterling Sharpe, Dave Thomas, Lee Majors, Pete Rose, Butch Davis, Ivan Lendl, Brett Farve, Paul Hornung, Willie Toshi, Dan Marino, Larry Bird, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones. Mr. Claussen is currently working with Ernest Wilford, Alvin Pearman, Chris Naeole, Brad Meester, and Rasheen Mathis of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dale's approach to the game is easy, fun, and exciting!   Dale, prides himself on his ability to work with students of all abilities and ages. One thing all his students learn, "1/2 as easy, twice as far!"... words to live by! Mr. Claussen has been named one of the TOP 50 Junior Golf Coaches in the country by US Kids Golf for 2005 and 2006.
